One inch sanders for trimming

I use a belt sander for trimming and have used it succesfully for more than 5
years now. I rarely notch any more now that I use Vagius tops. With careful
placement of the tops to start with many tops may not need much trimming any
way. The danger with one inch sanders is the speed by wich some machines take
off material. I prefer the cheap delta sander or the $59 sander offered be
Harbor Freight tools. You want it to take off just enough but not toooooo
much. I lightly press the key to the belt moving the key side to side. This
will also clean the dirt from the side of the key if you lightly press the
side against the belt too.
