Clyde: Perhaps the piano had a bad odor from something inside (mothballs,a spill, whatever) and they knew it works for refrigerators so why not in a piano. It certainly would not absorb any amount of moisture from the air as would the crystals someone else mentioned in a recent communication. Bob Bergantino
