My humble and non-technical opinion...

It depends on what is expected. Although no one would pay that money for a
"junk car," many would pay that money and bring a reasonably priced car up to
par. Maybe because they like the body style or for whatever other reason.  I
would say the Petrof was on the lower edge of acceptance, but acceptable to
that person none the less. With a little extra money, they made those needed
adjustments that did make it a nice sounding and affordable piano.

Another thought of mine was that a piano and a car are completely different
products. Although we may wish every piano was perfectly regulated and voiced,
it isn't so! That's why we admire the companies that have provided good
quality instruments at affordable prices.
