String breakage

Hi Jerry,

Coil conditions will not contribute to string breakage. If the wire was
bent at the coil they could break. If privious tuners moved the pin up
and down excessively they could break.

Excessive friction or string deflection over the v-bar and under the
pressure bar could cause breakage.

When you lowered pitch did you hear the pitch change? If not that could
contribute.
