I would think that if better ways were self evident as are being proclaimed, the "powers that be" would not hesitate to implement them in a natural course of time. I, for one, sincerely appreciate Stephen Dove's time spent in searching out the reasons for the Steinway rails, *and* especially for posting the patent information concerning the invention of these rails on Pianotech.
