It has been said before, but smile and tell lies.

Take the fall board off the piano and check the action then continue
tuning.  When the artist comes back on stage you ask it to try the piano
again.  99 out of 100 time it will approve the changes and go away
happy.

Reinstall the fall board, tighten screws and check pedal function.

Go away.
