From the mid 80's on at least. Richard Moody ps take the case parts off, take out the action, take out the keys that are down. If by chance the obvious is not obvious, look at the key bed where it is attached to the case. If a piano has been dropped be sure to look also for broken plate, and more often broken action standards (brackets)
