Hi Joe,

I really can't give you a dollar amount, due to the large number of
variables involved, but I can tell you that the most expensive items in
piano manufacture are the holes. It takes more time, more money, more
expensive machinery and setup time to produce all the holes, in all the
required sizes, with the necessarily precise tolerances in placement,
diameter, and depth (some threaded), than any other part (most of which
contain holes themselves). I hope this helps.
