SAT II Anybody? Aprentice Piano Tuner

The problem is too many don't use it as a fabulous learning 
tool.  If your involved in the tuning test you see over and over 
folks passing all with their SAT except the aural section.  The 
SAT and RCT have enabled folks who don't have a clue about 
intervals, tests etc. to reasonably tune a piano from the get 
go.  Of course the pianos don't stay in tune, but it gets them 
out the door and many Joe Customers don't really know the 
difference.  I know that if a serious piano technician student 
was to practice setting that A and checking it with the ETD.  
Then that A-A octave and maybe a triple octave and checking then 
those fifths, fourths, 3rds etc. and checking each as they went 
practiced their craft they certainly would have an advantage 
over what I had.  I think the key is "serious"...
