Just yesterday I tuned a steinway L with 30 bass strings buzzing. The piano is at least 25-30 years old. It seems that the windings are coming loose. I put drops of glue on the ends this helped some however they still seem to buzz. Should I try twisting them or do we need to re-string entire bass end? Maybe someone out there knows some other trick. I appreciate any input I can get. Thanks. Bob Staccato's Piano Shop
