Steinway bass strings

    On first read, I wondered if there was something loose elsewhere that 
made a sound like bass string buzzing,  but if that is not the case(!),  I 
would loosen one of the upper bass strings that is buzzing and give it an 
additional twist in the direction of the winding, re-install and pull up to 
pitch.  If that stops it, then wait a month or so to see if this treatment is 
indicated for all the rest. 
   If not,  then a new set of strings is indicated.
