Dear ARthur, The best stripper on the market is Woodfinisher's Pride. It's similar to the citrus stuff, but works more thoroughly. Repeated coats on the thickest varnish turns it to easily wiped off goo. It's virtually non-toxic. I stripped a 6'4" Knabe in 7 & a half hours to the bare wood with this stuff. Since it saves labor and is pleasant to use, it is preferable to the methylene chloride based material. Arthur
