I don't know if it was the normal situation, but I tuned the mirrored one for him back in '80 or '81 when he appeared at the Valley Forge Music Fair. Likewise, I don't recall if I had gotten the call through the Baldwin dealer for whom I was doing subcontract tunings, or whether the venue had called me directly- I know I tuned out there both ways. Anyhow, at least for that location, he didn't have a regular tuner.
