This after ring is occurring where? Have you plucked all the strings,
individually, with the dampers damping? If soft damper felt, properly aligned
and with sufficient spring doesn't damp the after-ring, then perhaps it is
something else? Is it possible that there is just one string of a tri-chord
singing? (string alignment is in order for that!). Just how strong are those
springs?
