I must say I consider Roger's remedy the fastest and easiest of the bunch, with one small change. After removing to make saw cut from the back side, re-install in piano and push the board back the appropriate amount to staighten it, and glue the shims in right there in the piano. Let the cheeks hold it for you instead of bothering with clamping in a vise or workbench. Another variation on a theme. Mark Potter bases-loaded@juno.com
