dogs (etc.) stuck in pianos

Two things come to mind that were not mentioned in the " all inclusive "
list.
1. While determining why two keys ( adjacent ones ) on a piano were
sticking, the culprit turned out to be the lady's husband's missing VISA
card. ( Strangely enough it disappeared about the same time that the
keys started to stick.)
2. My mentor purchased a piano from a widow in Colorado, took it to his
shop and removed the keys for the usual cleaning that a used piano should
get. However, beneath the keys were several envelopes. He opened each
one and found something in excess of $1500.00 in green cash in those
envelopes. Just in case you are wondering, he did make the appropriate
phone call to the widow, verified that her husband had some $$ set aside
that she never did find - and she knew the exact amount. Cash was
returned to her. BTW she gave him several hundred dollars as a "finders
reward". When he told me this story, it wasn't for the purpose of the
strange things that pianos can harbor, but rather on the importance of
honesty.
