squeaking pedal on a Wurl!

Hi,

A client has a new (i.e. less than one year old) Wurlitzer model 2276B
where the sustain pedal squeeks.

This particular model has a *slot* cut into the wooden lever for the pedal
prop. It seems the *prop* works its way along the slot and then begins to
squeek. There is a felt washen at the top.

Does anyone have a *sure fire* fix for this little beastie?
