pitch raises & tuning pins

Well, what the heck, I'm probably already in trouble from the last post.
Just as well put an edge on it.

There was a discussion a while back about the possibility of inexactly
seated tuning hammer tips stressing and breaking tuning pins. I was on the
"don't think so" side. If there was ever a situation where this would be the
case, you probably couldn't find a better one than a ten minute pitch raise.
You just wouldn't have the time to be too careful about seating the tip at
that speed. So how many of you high speed pitch raisers have had tuning pins
break (note, I didn't say "have broken pins") during the process?

I'm getting warmer already.
