I don't know of anything you can do to keep rust to a minimum except by
keeping moisture to a minimum.  If it was very humid in that trailer,
perhaps an environment that would be dry?  Damp chasers? A dehumidifier or
two in the room?  Some depends on the weather where you are.  If it's
already very humid, it'll be more of a battle.
