Removing as much weight as possible is helpful especially loose, flapping
fallboards.

An alternative to placing it on the edge of the key bed is to
rock it back onto its back curve onto a pad and drag it. It would be
easier to achieve in both attitude changes and more stable being
resting on the case width than on the key bed edge.

Have plenty of Fosters on hand (best, but not restricted to the job
completion).

I'd help, but It's a bit of a drive . . .
