I started using a "multiple" finger strike ( using more than one finger
at a time ) years ago.  Had to start doing it as there was a "slow
season" during which my index finger wasn't being used as often as my
wallet would have liked - and then had to be used a lot for tuning
uprights out of town - during which the skin on my index finger split :-(
 Yes, with blood all over the keytops.  Since using three fingers at a
time I have never had a repeat of this incident.
