Sy, I also am in the same boat except I have a Baldwin D on a portable stage. We store it at the back of the stage and once we bring it out we have to jack each leg up and put a steel plate under the castor or it will make a dent in the stage. We are in the process of thinking about making our own stage but I can see the top surface must be carefully thought out. I also look forward to any info on this matter... The piano is on a standard Y grand piano truck but the weight of the piano still makes tracks on the stage floor. The wood in the floor is apparently fir, a soft wood which is common on stages. > > The school is asking for wider surface wheels. Most supply houses seem to carry the same product. Whole new casters are available or only the wheels. I've not seen any with a wider wheel. > > Has anyone encountered this problem? > > Sy Zabrocki > David Ilvedson, RPT Pacifica, CA ilvey@jps.net
