Jay, I've always assumed that the number for a given year means that that number was produced sometime between 1/1 and 12/31. Notice how all the numbers are round numbers? It would be impossible for all those round numbers to show up all the time on January 1st. It would also be tedious to print all those 5 to 7 digit numbers for the first day of the year. So my guess is that Pierce picked easy numbers that fall somewhere in the year indicated. Bob Anderson Tucson, AZ
