Removing burrs on capstans?

Graeme;
 If you will take a wide piece of backrail cloth, aprox 8-10 inches long, 
punch a capstan size hole in it, centered both ways, and then put it over the 
capstan, folding the strip down to where you can hold it with your fingers. 
This will give you protection for the keystick....better control of the 
buffing operation and allow you to be slightly more aggressive with your 
buffing.......this works well.
