Sustain pedal plastic

Bill:
    If this is an upright piano, there are plastic pieces which fit into
the ends of the pedal rods.  The rods are tubular aluminum.  The wooden
dowel pedal rods usually found in American pianos have a pin in each
end- the plastic pieces serve the same purpose for the aluminum rods.
