Hello Mike.
The piano you speak of could be one of three
(or more) that were built by Wurlitzer.
One is a 3ft.10 in. 73 note wing shape.
The reg. butterfly grand has 88 note.
Another is a "Student Butterfly" grand.
This one is 2ft. 4in. long. It has 44 full-size keys,
single escapement action with 35 dampers but no pedals.
This piano has all two string unisons with the first 6
being wrapped. Ser. # is stamped on soundboard near the
front, treble side. The numbers were in the 167- - - range. They were
built in 1935, 36, 37 appx. The tuning pins are standard.
I am in the market for a "Student - Butterfly".
Hope this helps.
