Hi Jim, How's THIS for a <<long term test..>>: I have the SAME fishing pole, with the SAME 15lb monofilament on the SAME reel that has been IN/out of SALT water, and stressed with the "fighting" weight of countless fish, for more than FIFTEEN YEARS!!! I'd say that's a heck of a lot more punishment than the monofilament in the piano will EVER be subjected to! Again, if ANY of the loops that I have replaced using my method EVER break, I will fix it free...but I truly doubt that will ever happen unless someone holds a flame up to it, or temperatures rise to over 175 degrees! cheers!
