   Yes,  I would too, however,  when there is nothing to be done but set the 
adjustments, some method of spreading the geometry tolerances must be made.  
I do  a lot of jobs that are just regulations, not action rebuilds.  In fact, 
simple regulation of grand actions pays better returns than anything else I 
do.  
      I think the main difference in note to note geometry is to be found in 
the knuckle;hammer flange, relationships.  The moment arm is so small there 
that it is very sensitive to geometry.   I have been working on a system of 
measuring the actual ratios in a set of hammershanks.  It is not quite 
perfected enough to let out of the box, but it does involve lasers and 
mirrors and I hope to try it out this fall.
