Well done Brian! Congratulations!! The British tuning exam, with the pitch raise involved, does seem a bit tough, but we do all encounter such circumstances where a pitch raise and concert tuning have to be done on the spot, don't we!? Thanks for the report on your experiences. I hope that , next time you're in England, you can pre schedule your PTA exams in advance so you can get over the jet lag first. I wish more Associate members took up the RPT challenge -- the 1999 ETS report shows only 82 written exams taken (84% passed), 72 technical exams (about 50% pass 1st time, 80% pass partial sections), 83 tuning exams ( of 73 full exams, 54 passed). It's very disappointing that more people aren't taking the tests. Patrick Draine
