Some good answers out there - one additional thing to look out for: The little capstan-type screw for damper pedal stop adjustment can strip out the wood during 'heavy' pedaling. I found this out on a call back. I had wrongly assumed that the short rod shifted in a move, put it back, checked everything and went on my merry way. Next day all the bass strings are ringing again! Adjusted capstan, stepped on 'the gas pedal', heard a little thunk, and I was back to square one. A good old fashioned chunk of felt, some glue, and I be watching for lyre damage next time!
