Hi Clyde! Assuming the piano was in private ownership and has seen moderate of less use, I would estimate UP TO 50% of the current new cost (maybe closer to 40%). That is consistent with Larry Fine's book. You do not indicate piano size. Does Baldwin still make the Howard line? I would guess the quality equivalent (for pricing) would be in the range of a Kawai, or a bit less???? A 6 ft. Kawai RX-2 in ebony will sell for about $13,000 to $14,000 new in the Tampa Bay area. A 5' 1" Kawai will run about $9,000. Take 40% or 50% of the appropriate size here. (I guess Baldwin does still make the Hamilton line. I am simply more familiar with the Kawai, having previously worked for a Kawai dealer). Do you have any thoughts on my Yamaha C7 query?
