Thank you for all your comments and your position on this matter, Newton,
though in the above, I personally would think in terms of 'physically
practical and/or necessary based on the parameters' rather than 'humanly
possible'.  Otherwise, I certainly agree with this particular
generalization of yours.

I feel fully confident that I presented a possible remedy that would not
violate the situation, as presented by Terry Farrell's post, or violate
this generalization as presented by you, and further, I feel confident that
downbearing would not be a factor in this particular case based on the
information given by using the suggestion I mentioned.

Obviously, this is strictly my position on Terry's post, yet one I would be
completely comfortable with performing if circumstances proved to dictate
caution concerning plate breakage.
