Hey all,

I just returned from a great evening with Franz Mohr who is
visiting in town. A local dealer hosted a gathering where he
discussed his years with the pianists he worked with and some of
his experiences, (Horowitz, Rubinstein, etc). I read his book
several years ago and it was great finally meeting him in
person. The man has a wonderful since of humor and is full of
life. He was so detailed and personal with us it was as if we
were his family. He liked to talk about his traveling
adventures. One of the highlights were his stories about working
at the White House with Van Cliburn. Many of these stories are
repeated in his book and I recommend it to any serious
technician.

Tomorrow he has invited all the local technicians to meet for
some technical discussion; a chance to learn from a Jedi master.

I'll fill ya'll in tomorrow about what he shares!
