Fernando,

Ask your technician to for tightness in the key bushings and balance rail
hole. He may need to clean and polish the keypins & capstans. He should
check centers for excessive friction, lubricate knuckles with micro-fine
teflon powder. Are the dampers lifting early in the key/hammer travel?

Subject: Yamaha Piano C1

Hello, my name is Fernando Rosas, from Santiago de Chile. I just
bought a brand new Yamaha grand piano model C1. It's really
beautiful, and it sounds great, for my taste. I have only one but
important problem : the keyboard action is quiet heavy. I asked some
technicians here in Chile and they answered me that it is not strange
in a Yamaha piano. In addition, that it's new and that I must wait a
little for the mechanism to settle.

Have someone experienced this piano who could tell me what to think ?
Please send answers to frosas@deloitte.cl

Thanks in advance,

Fernando
