No more than a thousand times or so. Try measuring the crown where the
tonal problem is, rather than where it isn't and you'll probably get a
correlation between crown, bearing, and tone problem. It's probably the
board. Having the non-technician dealer look at is good protocol, but
probably pointless, considering how many professional technicians don't
know all that much about soundboards, it's unlikely that the dealer will
consider it anything but a voicing problem. You have to give him a chance
though. Notify M&H after you've gathered all the information you can and
let them know there's a problem. I don't get new M&H in this area, so I
don't know if the company believes in soundboard problems or not. Too many
others do not.
