Of course Santa Klaus is a democrat.  Parents bust their tails to give their
kids gifts and the credit goes to an old pervert who keeps elves and
raindeer in involuntary servitude and bribes the kids with gifts for good
behavior.  Yes, the fictional
Santa Claus is a fitting symbol of socialism.
