Thanks for all the input! I went back to the customer's today, armed with alcohol/water, protek and silicone (I was _going_ to get those things working, by gum!) Only one problem, NONE were sticking today!!!!!! The night before I came last time, the customers had moved the piano from in the kitchen between the window and the garage door, to the living room against a wall where the stairs went up. In addition to the better location for the piano, the humidity when I was there Tuesday was 62%, today, Thursday, it was only 48%! Hard to understand how it can fluctuate so much in just two days.
