EGroups

Hi Folks...

I was just browsing through "Egroups" (http://www.egroups.com), an internet
special-interest group host with chat, mailing list and files and noticed
that there are two Dutch piano tuning-related groups and one Norwegian
group, but nothing in English. Perhaps those who speak other languages
would be interested in setting up one for themselves?

For English speakers, I have set up an open EGroup called
"Piano-Technicians" (piano-technicians@egroups.com) which is available now.
This is not "in competition" with the Pianotech or PTG Mailing Lists or
with the #pianotech IRC channel, but it can be used by members to share
relevant files, as an additional mailing list open to the general public
and as a real-time chat group for those who do not wish to use IRC for some
reason. Mail is freely available to anyone with WWW access so it is
suggested that you not post anything in there that you don't want the whole
world to see easily. Mail is available in individual messages, digests or
you can just read it on the web if you like. Files as well as things like
the membership list are only available to members. Egroups is apparently
committed to prevent spam and has some safeguards against it.

I hope this will be of some use to both the members of this list and to
others who haven't found this one.
