Woodchester piano seminar - Monday 13 November 2000

The Woodchester Piano Company is planning to offer independent tuners a
unique opportunity to augment their income and broaden their customer
base by marketing the Technics Module SM-ZS30. This system is designed
to be fitted to a suitable standard upright piano, and can then be
played through headphones, or through a home stereo system or through
computer speakers.

The unit has six authentic voices, Grand Piano, Upright Piano, Electric
Piano, Harpsichord, Church Organ and Strings, superbly sampled from the
finest instruments available. All the voices are mixable and easily
accessible at the touch of a button. Volume, Reverberation, Pitch and
Sustain can be easily adjusted to suit all requirements. Both the tempo
and the volume can be adjusted by way of a built-in metronome.

Another feature of the unit is the easy-to-use 4,500 note-sequencer for
recording performances, which can be played back at variable tempos as a
learning aid. The module is also fitted with two headphone sockets for
teacher/pupil or duet playing, and comes complete with full MIDI
specification for interfacing with the home computer for sequencer,
notation and learning programmes.

To launch this exciting opportunity, the piano company, in conjunction
with the Royal National College for the Blind, Hereford, is organising a
one-day seminar on Monday 13 November 2000. This will take place at the
College and will cover all aspects of fitting, demonstrating and
marketing the module. Woodchester staff will be on hand to answer
questions and discuss ways of ensuring a successful venture. Further
information can be obtained from John Beckingham at the Woodchester
Piano Company on 01453 872871.

The charge for attendance at the seminar is £10.00 per delegate, which
will cover the cost of the seminar, including morning coffee, a
two-course lunch, tea during the afternoon and an optional tour of the
College. The seminar will run from 10.30 am until 4.30 pm, although
coffee will be available from 10.00 am. If you wish to book a place,
please complete the attached form and return it with a cheque for
£10.00 to Philip Kennedy at RNCB, College Road, Hereford, HR1 1EB, by
no later than 31 October 2000.
