This may be irrevelant, Rust Razor, but you didn't say whether or not
the jack would return under the knuckle after tripping. The knuckle is
supported by both the rep. lever and the jack, so you would expect some
hammer drop (wink) when the jack is tripped. It is only when the jack
won't return to its rest postition that there is a problem.

BTW, is your name really Rust Razor?
