pitch correction

Hi all,

Just another observation about pitch correction.

I came across a Yamaha m1a today where A0 was 18.75 cents but where the
rest of the piano was quite flat. I decided to measure the pitch drop on A0
for each octave that I tuned. A0 was measured at E3 in each case using
Reyburn Cyber Tuner. Pitch correction at A4 was a total of 44 cents and
worst note flat was 150 cents.

A0 = 18.75 no notes tuned
A0 = 13.35 all notes pitch corrected to A1
A0 =  8.35 all notes pitch corrected to A2
A0 = 7.35 all notes pitch corrected to D3 (last note on bass bridge)
A0 =  7.36 all notes pitch corrected to A3
A0 =  7.75 all notes pitch corrected to A4
A0 =  6.81 all notes pitch corrected to A5
A0 =  6.52 all notes pitch corrected to A6
A0 =  5.90 all notes pitch corrected to A7
A0 =  6.78 all notes except A0 pitch corrected.

It would appear that the bass bridge is *mostly* independant of the treble
from the above, but that *something* happens to the bass area in around the
treble break (E5/F5) at least on this particular instrument.
