Hi Joe, Well, I would suggest if you had a SAT,Tunelab,or RCT and picked _any_ temperament (ET, meantone, EBVT,Vallotti, Broadwood, you name it) and asked the finest instrumentalist in the orchestra to play a chromatic scale in a comfortable range, that few,if any, notes would be within one cent accuracy to the reference machine. If this is the case, then I would submit that the piano (tuned properly) would be the most in tune of all the instruments in the orchestra. Just my take. ;) Jim Love PTG Associate Midland, Tx.
