Just a note here; the only time you really might need a firewall is if you keep your computer turned on and connected to the ISP all the time, ( Like some people might who have cable modems or DSL) Otherwise, I really don't think it's necessary. I don't have it, but I've heard there's a good (free) one called Zonealarm. Look for it on the web. -----Original Message----- From: Don <drose@dlcwest.com> To: pianotech@ptg.org <pianotech@ptg.org> Date: Saturday, October 28, 2000 11:33 PM Subject: Re: I'm clean >Hi Chris, > >What has your old phone got to do with a firewall? *very puzzled look* > >At 12:35 AM 10/29/2000 -0600, you wrote: >>Dave, > Thanks for the advice >>about the firewall, but I still have the old phone in connection and I >>don't believe it is necessary for me right yet but maybe it is something we >>should all be thinking about. > > >Regards, >Don Rose, B.Mus., A.M.U.S., A.MUS., R.M.T., R.P.T. > >Tuner for the Saskatchewan Centre of the Arts > >drose@dlcwest.com >http://donrose.htmlplanet.com/ > >3004 Grant Rd. >REGINA, SK >S4S 5G7 >306-352-3620 or 1-888-29t-uner >
