I am envious of folks who tune pianos with una corda pedals. I am further envious of folks who tune pianos with una corda pedals that apparently do not cause the hammer to hit the string next door. For some of us others, we need to filter and adjust much of what we read and hear. I respect much of what Roger Jolly promulgates (He has some great ideas - Hi Roger!). I have to adjust it quite a bit though for most of my own work because Roger starts with the assumption that you are working on a playable piano (actually, quite a reasonable assumption, because I know that many talented professionals work on good pianos). Unfortunately, I own the only piano in my clientele that is of good quality, in very good condition, and the owner is willing to have whatever work done that is necessary to make it play and sound great. Someday, someday, someday......
