     I wonder if Jim Coleman's recomendation has been mentioned in this 
thread.  His finding is that the more stable pitch raise comes from beginning 
at the bottom of the treble bride and going up. ( I THINK this was Jim's 
idea).   I have been doing this with the SAT and it does leave me closer when 
I do the bass strings last.  Actually A0 is the last note of the pitch raise.
