The only question is whether or not you file the hammers so you don't have to make them mate with the old grooves.<< They were not spaced evenly, so I wouldn't have wanted to mate them to the strings with the old grooves. This set of hammers was over-due for filing so I did file them and spaced them after changing the flanges. I can't see any other way of doing it. jeannie
