I think he exists. But he's been more into other things, such as player restoration, and maybe even more by now. The story I heard is that he pretty much got burned out on pianos, and doesn't even want to talk about them anymore. (Don't know for sure.) I could see how that could happen. Sometimes people go through phases in their life that take them from one industry or profession to another, but they can leave behind some great things for those who follow.
