Rebushing S&S Damper Rail

Leaning minimized wobble. But I don't think it (two layers) matters. Thick
cloth sized with methanol and bridge pins (then ironed with heated bridge
pin) works for me. Just my 2 cents. %~)

Hi Paul,

I don't think Steinway intended for their damper guide bushings to be tight
around the damper wire. They were set up and regulated to lean towards one
side of the hole instead. Why, I'm not sure. Seems to work out ok, so long
as it's not leaning too hard and binding against the side.

Good luck,
