Teflon spray

Todd,

While this might work, meaning I haven't tried it, I haven't found a problem
with brushing it on with a toothbrush or an artist brush. Since I'm also
applying it to the keypins, capstans and keyframe/keybed contact, I don't
worry too terribly about having a little extra. On the other hand, there's
no point in dumping a lot of this down into areas where it will just pile up
and do no good.

If you're concerned about inhaling the dust, checkout the Dustfoe mask which
I know you can get from Highland Hardware on their website:
www.highlandhardware.com.

This item is also great for avoiding the nasty nasal side-effects from
hammer shaping.

Ray,

The fellow that recommended it to me (I haven't used it yet - see my
first e-mail) said that he mixes it in Naptha in a glass jar until it is
milky and then brushes it on with a small brush. Once again, this is
secondhand information, but the guy is a top notch tech who does all of
Steinway's referred work in the area.
