Hi,
Try an ionizer. It changes positive ion particles in the air into negative
particles, which breaks down the smoke particles too. Usually these devices
are installed after fires, to get rid of the bad odor, so it seems that this
might be the perfect solution for you.
They should be available in electronicshops as a modelkit for less than 10
dollars. In regular consumer electronic shops they should be available too,
but it will propably be much more expensive.

About safety:
Don't install too much of these ionizers, because they can cause little
lightnings to happen in the room in which they're installed, escpecially
when using any kind of spray (deodrant, contactspray,Mclube etc.etc.)
So don't go above the specified value per cubic meter as specified in the
manual.
